Asthma Education Management Program

NBN Respiratory provides a comprehensive Asthma Education Management Program for children and adults who have Asthma.

NBN fosters teamwork between the asthmatic, their family, pharmacist and primary physician to promote asthma management. In collaboration with the physician, NBN Respiratory develops an individualized asthma management plan that is tailored to each person’s special needs. This plan provides the tools for self-management of asthma and includes education on:

1. Basic facts about asthma.
2. The roles of medication.
3. Skills involved with the use of inhaled medications.
4. The use of peak flow meters.
5. Control of asthma triggers.
6. Control of asthma causes (inducers).
7. When and how to take medicines for an asthma attack.
